20/10/2025 – Moccali
A delightful find has been Moccali, a bakery (really, Konditorei) near Rabbi Rulf Platz. They serve the kind of Trilece (Tres Leches) I grew up eating, along with a variety of cakes, traditional Turkish sweet treats, and hot drinks.

In the store you can also buy number candles, balloons, and full cakes in boxes – though we have found out recently that here in Germany it’s the birthday person and not their friends, who bring the cake…
Open until 20:00, it’s a perfect place to stop by for a pick-me-up after work (or dessert before dinner).
